The Virtues Of Abu-Fadl, The Uncle Of The Prophet ﷺ, And He Is al-'Abbas Bin 'Abdul-Muttalib, May Allah Be Pleased With Him

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ أخبرنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ! نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ عُمَرُ! نِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ! هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُهَيْلٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Qutaybah Khbrnā ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muḥammad
  2. Suhayl b. Abū Ṣāliḥ from his father
  3. Abū Hurayrah

That the Messenger of Allah SAW said: "What an excellent man is Abu Bakr. What an excellent man is 'Umar. What an excellent man is Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah."
