About Seeking Refuge

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَسِيحِ الدَّجَّالِ وَاسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْمَحْيَا وَالْمَمَاتِ

Translation

“Seek refuge with Allah from the punishment of Hell, and seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave. Seek refuge in Allah from the trial of Al-Masihid-Dajjal, and seek refuge in Allah from the trials of life and death.”

  • Abū ʿĪsá said that this Ḥadīth is Ḥasan-Ṣaḥīḥ.
