Musnad Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ (may Allah be pleased with him)
حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمْنَا خَيْبَرَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِيرَانًا تُوقَدُ فَقَالَ: «عَلَامَ تُوقَدُ هَذِهِ النِّيرَانُ؟»، قَالُوا: عَلَى لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ، قَالَ: «كَسِّرُوا الْقُدُورَ، وَأَهْرِيقُوا مَا فِيهَا»، قَالَ: فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَنُهْرِيقُ مَا فِيهَا وَنَغْسِلُهَا؟ قَالَ: «أَوَ ذَاكَ
Translation
Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When we arrived at Khaybar, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ saw fires being lit and asked, “For what is this fire being lit?” They said, “For the meat of domesticated donkeys.” He said, “Break the pots and pour out what is in them.” A man among the people stood and said, “Messenger of Allah, shall we pour out what is in them and wash them?” He said, “Or that.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 287
