Thulathiyyat (Musnad Ahmad) 181
Musnad of Abū Ḥamzah Anas ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī, the Servant of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ نَوْفَلِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ فَقُلْنَا: حَدِّثْنَا بِمَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ، وَحُرِّمَتِ النَّارُ عَلَيْهِ: إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ، وَحُبُّ اللَّهِ، وَأَنْ يُلْقَى فِي النَّارِ فَيُحْرَقَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فِي الْكُفْرِ».
Translation
Nawfal ibn Masʿūd reported: “We came to Anas ibn Mālik and said: ‘Narrate to us what you heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ.’ He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ say: ‘Three qualities: whoever possesses them is protected from the Fire and the Fire is forbidden for him: faith in Allah, love of Allah, and that being cast into the fire and burned is more beloved to him than returning to disbelief.’” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 181
