Musnad of Abū Ḥamzah Anas ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī, the Servant of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ

Translation

Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abū Mūsā [al-Ashʿarī] asked the Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ to provide him with a mount. The Prophet (ﷺ) ﷺ was preoccupied at the time and said, “By Allah, I will not provide you with a mount.” But when Abū Mūsā turned to leave, he called him back and gave him a mount. Abū Mūsā said, “O Messenger of Allah, you swore you would not provide me with one.” He replied, “And now I swear that I will provide you with one.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 147
