Musnad of Abū Ḥamzah Anas ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī, the Servant of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ. وَيَزِيدُ: أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَقْدَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَقْوَامٌ أَرَقُّ مِنْكُمْ أَفْئِدَةً». فَقَدِمَ الْأَشْعَرِيُّونَ فِيهِمْ أَبُو مُوسَى، فَجَعَلُوا لَمَّا قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ يَرْتَجِزُونَ: غَدًا نَلْقَى الْأَحِبَّهْ مُحَمَّدًا وَحِزْبَهْ.
Translation
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ﷺ said, “There will come to you a people more tender of heart than you.” Then the Ashʿarīs arrived, and among them was Abū Mūsā; and when they reached Madīnah they began to chant in rajaz: “Tomorrow we shall meet the beloved ones, Muḥammad and his company.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 114
