حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ أَبِي ظِبْيَانَ الْجَنْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
" رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلَاثٍ: عَنِ الْمُبْتَلَى - أَوْ قَالَ: الْمَجْنُونِ - حَتَّى يَبْرَأَ، وَعَنِ الصَّبِيِّ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَوْ يَعْقِلَ، وَعَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ

✧ "The pen is lifted from three: from the afflicted—or he said: the insane—until he recovers, from the child until he reaches puberty or understands, and from the sleeper until he wakes."
