حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَقِيلٍ أَنَسُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْأَصْبَغِ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ نَصَّاحٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ

وَقَعَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ فِيهِ اسْتِفْتَاحُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا كَبَّرَ قَالَ «إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِنَّ صَلَاتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَاعْتَرَفْتُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي جَمِيعًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» ثُمَّ يَقْرَأُ

✧ A book fell into my hands containing the opening supplication of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he said the takbir, he would say: 'I have turned my face to the One who created the heavens and the earth, as a hanif, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. With that I have been commanded, and I am the first of those who submit. O Allah, You are the King, there is no god but You. Glory be to You and praise. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. No partner has You. I have wronged myself and confessed my sin, so forgive me all my sins, for none forgives sins except You. Here I am at Your service, all good is in Your hands. There is no refuge and no escape from You except to You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.' Then he would recite.
