حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْكَنُودِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

«مَثَلُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَثَلِ ثَغَبٍ» قُلْنَا وَمَا الثَّغَبُ؟ قَالَ «الْغَدِيرُ ذَهَبَ صَفْوُهُ وَبَقِي كَدَرُهُ فَالْمَوْتُ تُحْفَةٌ كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ»

✧ The likeness of this world is that of a water-hole (thaghab)." We said, "What is a thaghab?" He said, "A pool whose clear water has gone and whose dregs remain. So death is a gift for every believer."
