حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ

سُئِلَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَذْكَرَتَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ قَالَ «إِذَا قَرَأْتَ سُورَةً آخِرُهَا سَجْدَةٌ فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَارْكَعْ فَإِنَّمَا الرَّكْعَةُ مِنَ السَّجْدَةِ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَاسْجُدْ ثُمَّ اقْرَأْ بَعْدَهَا سُورَةً؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ

✧ Abū Isḥāq was asked, and it was said to him: “Do you remember from al-Aswad that ʿAbdullāh said: ‘When you recite a sūrah whose end is a prostration, then if you wish, bow, for the rakʿah is from the prostration; and if you wish, prostrate, then recite a sūrah after it?’” He said: “Yes.”
