حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ الْقَرْقَسَانِيُّ ثنا سَلَّامُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ وَمُبَارَكُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ قَالَ
جِيءَ بِأَسِيرٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللهِ وَلَا أَتُوبُ إِلَى مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ «عَرَفَ الْحَقَّ لِأَهْلِهِ»

✧ A captive was brought to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he said, “I repent to God, but I do not repent to Muhammad.” He said, “He has acknowledged the truth for its people.”
