حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ عَصَتْ وَأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللهَ عَلَيْهَا فَاسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْقِبْلَةَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ هَلَكَتْ دَوْسٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ»

✧ Ṭufayl b. ʿAmr al-Dawsī came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of God, Daws has disobeyed and refused, so pray to God against them." The Messenger of God ﷺ faced the qibla and raised his hands. The people said, "Daws is ruined." The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "O God, guide Daws and bring them."
