حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ ثنا عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ زَاذَانَ عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ
«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِتِسْعِ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَمَّا بَدَّنَ وَكَثُرَ عَلَيْهِ اللَّحْمُ أَوْتَرَ بِسَبْعِ رَكَعَاتٍ وَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَسَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ يَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا بِ إِذَا زُلْزِلَتْ وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللهُ أَحَدٌ»

✧ "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to perform the Witr prayer consisting of nine units. But when he grew old or his physical condition became difficult, he would perform Witr prayer consisting of seven units. He would pray two units, then prostrate twice while sitting, reciting in them when the verses were revealed, 'When the earth is shaken up its final quake,' and 'Say: O disbelievers, I do not worship what you worship, nor are you worshippers of what I worship, nor will I be a worshiper of what you worship, nor will you be worshipers of what I worship. For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.'"
