حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورٍ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الذِّمَارِيُّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ ؓ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ آمَنْتُ بِكَ مُخْلِصًا لَكَ دِينِي أَصْبَحْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ سَيِّءِ عَمَلِي وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذُنُوبِي الَّتِي لَا يَغْفِرُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَإِنْ مَاتَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ اللهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ رَبِّي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ آمَنْتُ بِكَ مُخْلِصًا لَكَ دِينِي أَمْسَيْتُ عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ سَيِّءِ عَمَلِي وَأَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِذُنُوبِي الَّتِي لَا يَغْفِرُهَا إِلَّا أَنْتَ فَمَاتَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ قَالَ ثُمَّ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَحْلِفُ مَا لَا يَحْلِفُ عَلَى غَيْرِهِ يَقُولُ «وَاللهِ مَا قَالَهَا عَبْدٌ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَيَمُوتُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ إِلَّا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَمَاتَ فِي تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةِ إِلَّا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Whoever says in the morning three times: ‘O God, to You belongs praise; there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I believe in You, sincerely devoting my religion to You. I have entered upon the morning upon Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I repent to You from my evil deeds and seek Your forgiveness for my sins which none forgives but You,’ then if he dies on that day he will enter Paradise. And if he says in the evening three times: ‘O God, to You belongs praise; there is no god but You. You are my Lord and I am Your servant. I believe in You, sincerely devoting my religion to You. I have entered upon the evening upon Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I repent to You from my evil deeds and seek Your forgiveness for my sins which none forgives but You,’ then if he dies on that night he will enter Paradise. He said: Then the Messenger of God ﷺ used to swear an oath that he would not swear about anything else, saying: “By God, no servant says it in the morning three times and then dies on that day but that he will enter Paradise, and if he says it in the evening three times then dies on that night but that he will enter Paradise.”
