حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ثنا عُتْبَةَ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ ثنا ابْنُ ثَوْبَانَ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ هَالَهُ اللَّيْلُ أَنْ يُكَابِدَهُ أَوْ بَخِلَ بِالْمَالِ أَنْ يُنْفِقَهُ أَوْ جَبُنَ عَنِ الْعَدُوِّ أَنْ يُقَاتِلَهُ فَلْيُكْثِرْ مِنْ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فَإِنَّهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ مِنْ جَبَلِ ذَهَبٍ يُنْفِقُهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ ﷻ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Whoever is overwhelmed by the night such that he struggles through it, or is miserly with wealth such that he withholds spending it, or is cowardly before the enemy such that he fears fighting him, let him say abundantly: ‘Glory be to God and with His praise,’ for it is more beloved to God than a mountain of gold that he spends in the path of God ﷻ.”
