حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ جَابِرِ بْنِ الْبَحْتَرِيِّ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ §لَمَّا
طُعِنَ عُمَرُ أَرْسَلُوا إِلَى طَبِيبٍ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَسَقَاهُ لَبَنًا فَخَرَجَ اللَّبَنُ أَبْيَضَ مِنَ الطَّعْنَةِ الَّتِي تَحْتَ السُّرَّةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الطَّبِيبُ اعْهَدْ عَهْدَكَ فَمَا أَرَاكَ تُمْسِي فَقَالَ صَدَقَنِي

✧ Umar was stabbed. They sent for a physician, and a man from the Ansar came and gave him milk to drink. The milk came out white from the stab wound below the navel. The physician said to him: "Make your will, for I do not think you will live until evening." He said: "He has told me the truth."
