حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَلَفٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ح وحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَلِي أَمْرَ عَشَرَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ إِلَّا أُتِيَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَغْلُولًا يَدُهُ إِلَى عُنُقِهِ فَكَّهُ بِرُّهُ أَوْ أَوْثَقَهُ إِثْمُهُ أَوَّلُهَا مَلَامَةٌ وَأَوْسَطُهَا نَدَامَةٌ وَآخِرُهَا عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: “There is no Muslim who is in charge of ten or more people but he will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with his hand shackled to his neck; his righteousness will release it or his sin will bind it. Its beginning is blame, its middle is regret, and its end is the punishment of the Day of Resurrection.”
