حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ثنا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا أُذِنَ لِعَبْدٍ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ يُصَلِّيهِمَا إِنَّ الْبِرَّ لَيُذَرُّ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْعَبْدِ مَا دَامَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ وَمَا تَقَرَّبَ الْعِبَادُ إِلَى اللهِ ﷻ بِمِثْلِ مَا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ» قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ «يَعْنِي الْقُرْآنَ»

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "No permission is granted to a servant for anything more excellent than two rak'ahs he prays. Indeed, righteousness is scattered upon the servant's head as long as he is in his prayer. And the servants draw near to God, Mighty and Majestic, with nothing like what has come forth from him." Abu al-Nadr said: "That is, the Qur'an."
