✧ From the hadith of 'Amr al-Hadrami from the people of Homs, from Abu Umamah al-Bahili, he said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a sermon one day, and most of his sermon was mention of the Dajjal, warning us against him, telling us about him until he finished his sermon. Among what he said to us that day: "Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has not sent a prophet except that he warned his nation, and I am the last of the prophets and you are the last of the nations, and he will certainly come out among you. If he comes out while I am among you, then I am the advocate for every Muslim, and if he comes out among you after me, then each person is the advocate for himself, and Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is my successor over every Muslim. He will come out from a gap between Iraq and the Levant, spreading corruption right and left. O servants of Allah, remain steadfast, for he will begin by saying: I am a prophet, and there is no prophet after me. Indeed, written between his eyes is 'disbeliever', which every believer will read. Whoever of you meets him should spit in his face and recite the opening verses of Surah of the Companions of the Cave. He will be given power over one soul from the children of Adam, so he will kill it and then bring it back to life, and he will not go beyond that, nor will he be given power over any soul other than it. Among his trials is that with him are a Paradise and a Fire, but his Fire is a Paradise and his Paradise is a Fire. Whoever is tested with his fire should close his eyes and seek help from Allah, and it will be coolness and peace, just as the fire was coolness and peace for Ibrahim. His days are forty days: a day like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of the days like ordinary days. The last of his days is like a mirage: a man reaches the gate of the city in the morning, and he walks before he reaches its other gate." They said: How should we pray, O Messenger of Allah, in those short days? He said: "Estimate them as you estimate the long days."
