✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said, “Modesty and ineloquence are from faith, and they draw near to Paradise and distance from the Fire; obscenity and vulgarity are from Satan, and they draw near to the Fire and distance from Paradise.” A Bedouin said to Abu Umamah, “We say in poetry that ineloquence is from stupidity.” He said, “Do you think I say, ‘The Messenger of God ﷺ said’ while you beautify with your poetry something foul?”
