حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبْدُوسِ بْنِ كَامِلٍ السَّرَّاجُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ثنا الزَّنْجِيُّ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ نَغْشَى الدَّارَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ لَيْلًا مَعَهُمْ صِبْيَانُهُمْ وَنِسَاؤُهُمْ فَنَقْتُلُهُمْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «هُمْ مَعَ آبَائِهِمْ»

✧ That he said to the Prophet ﷺ, “O Messenger of Allah, we raid a settlement at night from the polytheists, and with them are their children and women, and we kill them.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “They are with their fathers.”
