حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ وعَارِمٌ أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ قَالَا ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ خَيْلَنَا أَوْطَأَتْ أَوْلَادًا مِنْ أَوْلَادِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ» وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الزُّهْرِيَّ وَلَا عُبَيْدَ اللهِ وَلَا الصَّعْبَ

Translation

✧ They said, “O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, our horses trampled children among the children of the polytheists.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “They are from their fathers.” And he did not mention al-Zuhri, nor Ubayd Allah, nor al-Sa'b.
