حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَجَلِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ صَخْرِ بْنِ الْعَيْلَةِ قَالَ
أَخَذْتُ عَمَّةَ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَجَاءَ الْمُغِيرَةُ فَسَأَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَمَّتَهُ فَقَالَ «يَا صَخْرُ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ إِذَا أَسْلَمُوا أَحْرَزُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَدِمَاءَهُمْ فَادْفَعْهَا إِلَيْهِمْ» فَدَفَعْتُهَا إِلَيْهِ قَالَ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَعْطَانِي مَالًا لِبَنِي سُلَيْمٍ فَأَسْلَمُوا فَأَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَسَأَلُوهُ الْمَالَ فَدَعَانِي نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «يَا صَخْرُ إِنَّ الْقَوْمَ إِذَا أَسْلَمُوا أَحْرَزُوا أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَدِمَاءَهُمْ فَادْفَعْهُ إِلَيْهِمْ» فَدَفَعْتُهُ إِلَيْهِمْ

✧ I took the paternal aunt of al-Mughīrah b. Shuʿbah to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and al-Mughīrah came and asked the Messenger of God ﷺ for his aunt. He said, “O Ṣakhr, when people embrace Islam, they secure their wealth and their blood, so return her to them.” So I returned her to him. He said: And the Prophet ﷺ had given me wealth for Banū Sulaym, and they embraced Islam and came to the Prophet ﷺ asking for the wealth. The Prophet of God ﷺ called me and said, “O Ṣakhr, when people embrace Islam, they secure their wealth and their blood, so return it to them.” So I returned it to them.
