حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْقَوَارِيرِيُّ قَالَا ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ عَنِ الشَّرِيدِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِذَا شَرِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَاضْرِبُوهُ فَإِنْ عَادَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ فَاضْرِبُوهُ ثُمَّ إِنْ عَادَ الرَّابِعَةَ فَاقْتُلُوهُ»

✧ I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "If one of you drinks [intoxicants], flog him. If he repeats, flog him. Then if he repeats, flog him. Then if he repeats a fourth time, kill him."
