✧ Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani narrates from Shaddad

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَشْعَثِ عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِرَجُلٍ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ فَقَالَ «أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man being cupped on the eighteenth of Ramadan while I was with him, and he said: “The cupper and the cupped have broken their fast.”
