حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ ثنا دُحَيْمٌ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ثنا خُبَيْبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَعَلَ شِعَارَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَشِعَارَ الْخَزْرَجِ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ اللهِ وَشِعَارَ الْأَوْسِ يَا بَنِي عُبَيْدِ اللهِ وَسَمَّى خَيْلَنَا خَيْلَ اللهِ إِذَا فَزِعْنَا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ made the battle cry of the Emigrants ‘O Banu Abd al-Rahman,’ the battle cry of the Khazraj ‘O Banu Abd Allah,’ and the battle cry of the Aws ‘O Banu Ubayd Allah.’ And he named our horses ‘the horses of Allah’ when we were alarmed.”
