✧ I came with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the direction of al-'Aqiq until when we were at the mountain pass called Thaniyyat al-Hawd, which is at al-'Aqiq, he pointed with his hand towards the east and said: “Indeed, I am looking at the landing places of the enemy of Allah, the Dajjal. He will come until he descends at such-and-such a place, until the rabble of the people go out to him. There is no opening among the openings of al-Madinah except that upon it there is an angel or two angels guarding it. With him are two images: an image of Paradise and an image of Hell, a red one. With him are devils who take the form of the dead. They say to the living person: ‘Do you recognize me? I am your brother; I am your father; I am your relative. Did I not die? This is our Lord, so follow him.’ Then Allah decrees what He wills concerning him, and Allah sends to him a man from the Muslims who silences him and refutes him. He says: ‘This is a liar. O people, do not let him deceive you, for he is a liar. He speaks falsehood, and your Lord is not one-eyed.’ He says: ‘Will you follow me?’ He refuses, so he splits him into two halves. Then he is given that, and he says: ‘I will bring him back to you.’ Then Allah resurrects him, and he is more intense in denying him and more severe in reviling him. He says: ‘O people, what you have seen is a trial with which you have been tested and a tribulation with which you have been tempted. If he is truthful, let him bring me back another time. Indeed, he is a liar.’ So he orders him to be cast into this fire, and it is the image of Paradise. He goes out towards al-Sham.”
