حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

مَرَرْنَا عَلَى مَاءٍ مِنْ مِيَاهِ الْأَعْرَابِ فَقَامَ أَبِي «فَبَالَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ» قُلْتُ أَلَا تَخْلَعُهُمَا؟ قَالَ «لَا أَزِيدُكَ عَلَى مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ»

✧ We passed by some water of the Bedouins, and my father stood and urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over his sandals. I said, 'Will you not take them off?' He said, 'I will not add to what I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do.'
