وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يَقُولُ §مَا كَانَ يَوْمٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْنَا مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ

وَقَالَ إِنَّ عَجُوزًا كَانَتْ تَطْبُخُ فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ أُصُولَ السِّلْقِ وتَطْرَحُ عَلَيْهِ حَبَّاتٍ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ فَكُنَّا إِذَا انْصَرَفْنَا مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ دَخَلْنَا فَأَكَلْنَا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Sahl b. Saʿd

✧ He said: There was an old woman who used to cook on Friday the roots of chard and throw on it grains of barley. When we finished the Friday prayer, we would enter and eat.
