حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ أَبِي رَوْحٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ
عَنْ جُرْحِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ «جُرِحَ وَجْهُهُ وَكُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ وَهُشِّمَتِ الْبَيْضَةُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ وَكَانَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ يَسْكُبُ عَلَيْهَا بِالْمِجَنِّ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّ الدَّمَ لَا يَزِيدُهُ الْمَاءُ إِلَّا كَثْرَةً أَخَذَتْ قِطْعَةَ حَصِيرٍ فَأَحْرَقَتْهُ حَتَّى صَارَ رَمَادًا ثُمَّ أَلْزَقَتْهُ بِالْجُرْحِ فَاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُ»

✧ About the wound of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of Uhud, he said: “His face was wounded, his front tooth was broken, and the helmet was crushed on his head. Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was washing the blood while Ali ؓ poured water for her with a shield. When Fatimah saw that the water only increased the blood, she took a piece of a mat and burned it until it became ash, then pressed it onto the wound, and the blood stopped.”
