حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكِيمِ الْوَرَّاقُ قَالَا ثنا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِيَّاكُمْ وَمُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ فَإِنَّمَا مَثَلُ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ كَمَثَلِ قَوْمٍ نَزَلُوا بَطْنَ وَادٍ فَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ وَجَاءَ ذَا بِعُودٍ حَتَّى حَمَلُوا مَا أَنْضَجُوا بِهِ خُبْزَهُمْ وَإِنَّ مُحَقَّرَاتِ الذُّنُوبِ مَتَى يَأْخُذْ بِهَا صَاحِبُهَا تُهْلِكْهُ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Beware of the small sins that are belittled, for the likeness of belittled sins is like a people who camped in the bottom of a valley, and one brought a stick and another brought a stick until they had gathered enough to cook their bread with. When belittled sins are taken by their doer, they destroy him.”
