✧ In the prohibition of private ownership of red land

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَوْسَ بْنَ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيَّ يُخْبِرُ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ «مَنْ غَسَّلَ وَاغْتَسَلَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ثُمَّ غَدَا وَابْتَكَرَ وَمَشَى وَلَمْ يَرْكَبْ وَلَمْ يَلْغُ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهِ عَمَلُ سَنَةٍ» قَالَ ابْنُ جَابِرٍ فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنَ الْحَارِثِ الذِّمَارِيَّ فَقَالَ أَنَا سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَشْعَثِ يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ قَالَ «لَهُ بِكُلِّ قَدَمٍ عَمَلُ سَنَةٍ صِيَامُهَا وَقِيَامُهَا» قَالَ ابْنُ جَابِرٍ «فَحَفِظَ يَحْيَى وَنَسِيتُ» قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَبِي عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ فَقَالَ «ثَبَتَ الْحَدِيثُ أَنَّ لَهُ بِكُلِّ قَدَمٍ عَمَلَ سَنَةٍ»

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: “Whoever bathes and washes himself on Friday, then goes early and arrives early, walks and does not ride, and does not engage in idle talk, a year’s deeds will be written for him.” Ibn Jabir said: I narrated this hadith to Yahya b. al-Harith al-Dhimari, and he said: I heard Abu al-Ash‘ath narrate it from Aws b. Aws from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he said: “For every step he will have the deeds of a year of fasting and standing in prayer.” Ibn Jabir said: “Yahya remembered and I forgot.” Al-Walid said: I mentioned that to Abu ‘Amr al-Awza‘i, and he said: “The hadith is established that for every step he will have the deeds of a year.”
