✧ From the signs of the prophethood of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا أَبِي قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلِيطٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

أَصَابَ النَّاسَ فِي غَزْوَةِ خَيْبَرَ مَخْمَصَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَقَامُوا إِلَى حُمُرِهِمْ فِي مَحْضَرٍ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَجَزَرُوهَا ثُمَّ طَرَحُوهَا فِي الْقُدُورِ فَبَيْنَمَا هِيَ تَفُورُ نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُهَا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «نَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْحُمُرِ الَّتِي تَطْبُخُونَ فَكُبَّتِ الْقُدُورُ عَلَى وُجُوهِهَا»

✧ The people suffered severe hunger during the Battle of Khaybar, so they went to their donkeys in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ and slaughtered them, then threw the meat into cooking pots. While they were boiling, the prohibition of them came down upon the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The prohibition of the donkeys you are cooking has come down," so the pots were overturned.
