حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى عَلَى ذُبَابٍ» قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ «بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ ذُبَابَ جَبَلٌ بِالْحِجَازِ وَقَوْلُهُ صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ يَعْنِي بَارَكَ عَلَيْهِ»

Translation

  2. Yaʿqūb b. Ḥumayd
  3. ʿAbd al-Muhaymin b. ʿAbbās b. Sahl from his father from his grandfather

✧ “The Prophet ﷺ prayed over Dhubab.” Abu al-Qasim said, “It reached me that Dhubab is a mountain in the Hijaz, and his saying ‘prayed over him’ means he invoked blessing upon him.”
