حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الْمُهَيْمِنِ بْنُ عَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

كَانَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ صَحْفَةٌ فَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ النِّسَاءَ وَيَقُولُ «لَكِ كَذَا وَكَذَا وجَفْنَةُ سَعْدٍ تَدُورُ مَعِي إِلَيْكِ كُلَّمَا دُرْتُ»

Translation

  3. ʿAbd al-Muhaymin b. ʿAbbās b. Sahl from his father from his grandfather

✧ The Prophet ﷺ used to have a bowl from Sa'd b. 'Ubadah every night, and the Prophet ﷺ would address the women, saying, 'You shall have such and such, and Sa'd's bowl will come with me to you whenever I come.'
