al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 5623

✧ Son of al-Hanzhaliyyah al-Ansari from the tribe of Harithah, his mother's name is al-Hanzhaliyyah and his father's name is Afif. He used to reside in Damascus, Syria.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ثنا الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِابْنِ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ

حَدِّثْنَا حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَهْلُهَا مُعَانُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَمَنْ رَبَطَ فَرَسًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ كَانَتِ النَّفَقَةُ عَلَيْهِ كَالمَادِّ يَدَهُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ لَا يَقْبِضُهَا»

✧ Narrate to us a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Horses have goodness tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection, and their owners are assisted because of them. Whoever ties a horse in the way of Allah, his spending on it is like one who extends his hand with charity without withholding it.'
