حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعَدَةُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْعَطَّارُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ ثنا أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ الزُّرَقِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَصِيدُ عَصَافِيرَ فِي بِئْرِ إِهَابٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُمْ فَرَآنِي عُبَادَةُ وَقَدْ أَخَذْتُ عُصْفُورًا فَانْتَزَعَهُ مِنِّي وَقَالَ «إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ حَرَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ لَابَتَيْهَا»

✧ He used to hunt sparrows at the well of Ihab, which belonged to them. Then ʿUbādah saw me after I had caught a sparrow, so he snatched it from me and said, “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade [hunting] what is between its two lava tracts.”
