حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ النَّهْدِيُّ ثنا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ قَالَ أَرْسَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ إِلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ إِنَّا مُسْتَعْمِلُوكَ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ تَسِيرُ بِهِمْ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ فَتُجَاهِدْ بِهِمْ فَذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلًا فَقَالَ فِيهِ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ وَمَا أَنَا بِمُخْتِلِفٍ عَنِ الْعَنَقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَعْدَ إِذْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي فُقَرَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُزَفُّونَ كَمَا يُزَفُّ الْحَمَامُ فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ قِفُوا لِلْحِسَابِ فَيَقُولُونَ وَاللهِ مَا تَرَكْنَا شَيْئًا نُحَاسَبُ بِهِ فَيَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ صَدَقَ عِبَادِي فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ بِسَبْعِينَ عَامًا

✧ I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say about the poor Muslims: 'They will be led in procession as doves are led. It will be said to them, "Stop for the reckoning." They will say, "By God, we left nothing for which we could be held to account." God, exalted be He, will say, "My servants have spoken truly." Then they will enter Paradise seventy years before the rest of mankind.'
