حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالُوا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الْأَخْرَمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ يَشُكُّ الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ
أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمِلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَيُبَاعِدُنِي مِنَ النَّارِ فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَنَظَرَ فَقَالَ «تَعْبُدُ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِي الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ وَتُحِبُّ لِلنَّاسِ مَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ وَمَا كَرِهْتَ أَنْ يُؤْتَى إِلَيْكَ فَدَعِ النَّاسَ مِنْهُ»

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Prophet of God, show me a deed that will bring me near to Paradise and keep me far from the Fire. He was silent for a while, then he raised his head to the sky and looked, then said: “Worship God and associate nothing with Him, establish prayer, give zakāt, fast Ramaḍān, and love for people what you love to be brought to you, and whatever you dislike to be brought to you, leave people alone from it.”
