حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو قَزَعَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ أَتَوُا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جَعَلَنَا اللهُ فِدَاكَ مَاذَا يَصْلُحُ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَشْرِبَةِ؟ قَالَ «لَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي النَّقِيرِ» قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ جَعَلَنَا اللهُ فِدَاكَ أَوَتَدْرِي مَا النَّقِيرُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ الْجِذْعُ يُنْقَرُ وَسَطُهُ وَلَا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَلَا فِي الْحَنْتَمَةِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بَالمُوكَأِ»

✧ He informed him that the delegation of 'Abd al-Qays came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us your ransom, which drinks are lawful for us? He said: "Do not drink from a naqir." They said: O Prophet of Allah, may Allah make us your ransom, do you know what a naqir is? He said: "Yes, a trunk whose middle is hollowed out. And not from a dubba', and not from a hantama. Use a vessel with a tied mouth."
