حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّ جَمِيلَ بْنَ أَبِي الْمَضَاءِ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ لِزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ كَيْفَ تَأْكُلُ؟ قَالَ

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ ؓ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا طَعِمَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ يَدَهُ حَتَّى يَلْعَقَ أَصَابِعَهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِهِ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ»

✧ Abu Sa'id al-Khudri ؓ informed me from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: "When one of you eats food, let him not wipe his hand until he licks his fingers, for he does not know in which of his food the blessing lies."
