✧ What Saad bin Muadh narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا جُبَارَةُ بْنُ الْمُغَلِّسِ ثنا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

كَانَتْ رَايَةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَوَاطِنِ كُلِّهَا رَايَةُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَرَايَةُ الْأَنْصَارِ مَعِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī
  2. Jubārah b. al-Mughallis
  3. Abū Shaybah
  4. al-Ḥakam
  5. Miqsam
  6. Ibn ʿAbbās

✧ The banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in all the battles was the banner of the Muhajirun with 'Ali b. Abi Talib, and the banner of the Ansar was with Sa'd b. 'Ubadah.
