حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ قَيْسِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَأَرْمُقَنَّ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ اللَّيْلَةَ فَتَوَسَّدْتُ عَتَبَتَهُ أَوْ فُسْطَاطَهُ «فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ طَوِيلَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُمَا دُونَ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَهُمَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ دُونَ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَهُمَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ دُونَ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَهُمَا ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ فَذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ»

✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us from Malik from 'Abdullah b. Abi Bakr from his father that 'Abdullah b. Qays b. Makhramah informed him from Zayd b. Khalid al-Juhani that he said: "I will certainly watch the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ tonight." So I rested my head on his doorstep or his tent. "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed two light rak'ahs, then prayed two long rak'ahs, then prayed two rak'ahs that were shorter than the two before them, then prayed two rak'ahs shorter than the two before them, then prayed two rak'ahs shorter than the two before them, then performed witr. That is thirteen."
