حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَا أَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ الشُّهَدَاءِ؟ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا أَوْ يُخْبِرُ بِشَهَادَتِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا»

✧ Al-Qaʿnabi narrated to us from Malik; and Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi narrated to us, ʿAbd Allah b. ʿAbd al-Hakam narrated to us; and Bakr b. Sahl narrated to us, ʿAbd Allah b. Yusuf narrated to us; they both said: Malik reported to us, from ʿAbd Allah b. Abi Bakr, from his father, from ʿAbd Allah b. ʿAmr b. ʿUthman, from Ibn Abi ʿAmrah al-Ansari, from Zaid b. Khalid al-Juhani, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Shall I not inform you of the best of witnesses? The one who brings his testimony before he is asked for it, or who gives his testimony before he is asked for it."
