حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا مَسْرُوقُ بْنُ الْمِزْرِبانِ قَالَا ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ §لَمَّا قَالَ ابْنُ أُبَيٍّ مَا قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَجَاءَ فَحَلَفَ مَا قَالَ فَجَعَلَ نَاسٌ يَقُولُونَ جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِالْكَذِبِ حَتَّى جَلَسْتُ فِي الْبَيْتِ مَخَافَةَ إِذَا رَأَوْنِي قَالُوا هَذَا الَّذِي يَكْذِبُ حَتَّى أَنْزَلَ اللهُ ﷻ {هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ}

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him, so he came and swore that he had not said it. People started saying, 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has brought a lie,' until I sat in the house for fear that when they saw me they would say, 'This is the one who lies,' until Allah ﷻ sent down: {They are the ones who say}.
