حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ أَتَاهُ بَنُو النَّجَّارِ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ مِنَّا غُلَامًا قَدْ قَرَأَ مِمَّا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْكَ بِضْعَ عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً «فَدَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَرَأْتُ عَلَيْهِ»

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ came to Madinah, the Banu al-Najjar came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, among us is a boy who has recited from what has been revealed to you over ten surahs." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called me, and I recited to him.
