حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ قَالَ §لَمَّا مَاتَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بَايَعَ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ كُلُّهُمْ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ إِلَّا أَهْلَ الْأَرْدُنِّ فَلَمَّا رَأَى ذَلِكَ رُءُوسُ بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ وَنَاسٌ مِنِ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنْ أَشْرَافِهِمْ وَفِيهِمْ رَوْحُ بْنُ زِنْبَاعٍ الْجُذَامِيُّ قَالَ

بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ إِنَّ الْمُلْكَ كَانَ فِينَا أَهْلَ الشَّامِ فَيُنْقَلُ ذَلِكَ إِلَى الْحِجَازِ لَا نَرْضَى بِذَلِكَ
