حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ قَالَا ثنا رَيْحَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَبِيعَةَ الْجُرَشِيَّ يَقُولُ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ أُتِيَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ لِتَنَمْ عَيْنُكَ وَلْتَسْمَعْ أُذُنُكَ وَلْيَعْقِلْ قَلْبِكَ قَالَ «فَنَامَتْ عَيْنِي وَسَمِعَتْ أُذُنِي وَعَقَلَ قَلْبِي» قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ «سَيِّدٌ بَنَى دَارًا وَصَنَعَ مَأْدُبَةً فَأَرْسَلَ دَاعِيًا فَمَنْ أَجَابَ الدَّاعِيَ دَخَلَ الدَّارَ وَأَكَلَ مِنَ الْمَأْدُبَةِ وَرَضِيَ عَنْهُ السَّيِّدُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِبِ الدَّاعِيَ لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الدَّارَ وَلَمْ يَنَلِ الْمَأْدُبَةَ وَسَخِطَ عَلَيْهِ السَّيِّدُ فَالسَّيِّدُ اللهُ وَالدَّاعِي مُحَمَّدٌ ﷺ وَالْمَأْدُبَةُ الْجَنَّةُ»

✧ He heard Rabi'ah al-Jurashi say that the Prophet of God ﷺ was approached and it was said to him, "Let your eye sleep, let your ear hear, and let your heart comprehend." He said, "So my eye slept, my ear heard, and my heart comprehended." He said, it was said to him: "A master built a house and prepared a banquet and sent an inviter. Whoever answers the inviter enters the house and eats from the banquet and the master is pleased with him. Whoever does not answer the inviter does not enter the house, does not attain the banquet, and the master is angry with him. The master is God, the inviter is Muhammad ﷺ, and the banquet is Paradise."
