حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَنِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ثنا حَبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقَزَّازُ ثنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ قَالَا ثنا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ثنا هِلَالُ بْنُ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ رِفَاعَةَ بْنَ عَرَابَةَ الْجُهَنِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ

قَالَ أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلَ نَاسٌ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَيَأْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَقَالَ «مَا بَالُ شِقِّ الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي تَلِي رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَبْغَضُ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الشِّقِّ الْآخَرِ؟» قَالَ فَلَا تَرَى فِي الْقَوْمِ إِلَّا بَاكِيًا فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ؓ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَسْتَأْذِنُكَ فِي نَفْسِي بَعْدَهَا لَسَفِيهٌ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ «أَشْهَدُ عِنْدَ اللهِ وَكَانَ إِذَا حَلَفَ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللهِ ثُمَّ يُسَدِّدُ إِلَّا سُلِكَ بِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَقَدْ وَعَدَنِي رَبِّي أنْ يُدْخِلَ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي سَبْعِينَ أَلْفًا لَا حِسَابَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا عَذَابَ وَإِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلُوهَا حَتَّى تَتَبَوَّءُوا أَنْتُمْ وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ وَذَرَارِيِّكُمْ مَسَاكِنَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ He said: We came with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and people began asking permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would give them permission. He said: "What is the matter with the side of the tree that is next to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being more hateful to you than the other side?" He said: Then you would see none among the people but weeping. Abu Bakr ؓ said: "The one who asks your permission for himself after this is indeed foolish." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, praised Allah and extolled Him, and said: "I bear witness before Allah"—and when he swore, he would say: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul—there is none among you who believes in Allah and then remains upright except that he will be led thereby into Paradise. And my Lord has promised me to admit into Paradise seventy thousand of my community, with no reckoning upon them and no punishment. And I hope that they will not enter it until you, and the righteous among your spouses and your children, have taken up dwellings in Paradise."
