حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الضَّبِّيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنْ أَخِيهِ مُقَاتِلِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَا يَقُومُ مِنْ مَجْلِسٍ حَتَّى يَقُولَ «سُبْحَانَكَ اللهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ» ثُمَّ يَقُولُ «إِنَّهَا كَفَّارَةٌ لِمَا يَكُونُ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ would not rise from a gathering until he said: «Glory be to You, O God, and with Your praise. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.» Then he would say: «It is an expiation for whatever occurred in the gathering.»
